Dr. Youngjoo E. Kim received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in California. After completing a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City, she completed her pediatric dentistry residency program at New York University.
Dr. Kim moved to the San Francisco Bay area and spent three successful years in private practice. In 2010, Dr. Kim joined the faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and served as the pediatric dentistry clinic director to teach future dentists and engage in patient care. Her passion for children’s oral health led her to invent an innovative Bluetooth-enabled toothbrush to help children effectively brush their teeth.
Dr. Kim lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, a UM engineering professor, and three young children.
Dr. Kim is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is excited to build long-term relationships with families in our practice and provide outstanding patient care to infants, children, and adolescents.
